July 17, 2026: The Institute is pleased to announce the publication of a new guest commentary by Prof. William Schabas on Scholar’s Corner*, the Institute’s blog dedicated to sharing scholarly perspectives on issues related to international law, human rights, and public policy.

Titled “Rubio’s Threat to Dismantle the International Criminal Court is Doomed to Fail,” Prof. Schabas examines recent statements by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding the International Criminal Court (ICC), reflecting on previous efforts to undermine the Court and considering the legal, political, and historical implications of renewed U.S. opposition to the ICC.
