TORONTO , July 5, 2023: It is with great sadness that the Zoryan Institute announces the passing of a longtime supporter, Souren Sarkissian on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Souren died peacefully surrounded by his family in Toronto, Canada.

Souren is the late brother of the Zoryan Institute President and one of the founding members of the Institute, K.M. Greg Sarkissian. He was a staunch and loyal supporter of the Zoryan Institute’s work since its inception, and gave generously to causes supporting education, culture, and women’s empowerment.

The Zoryan Institute wishes to take this opportunity to express its heartfelt condolences to Souren Sarkissian’s family and loved ones.

Funeral Details: A funeral service will be held on July 7th 2023 at 11am at Saint Mary Armenian Apostolic Church, 45 Hallcrown Place, North York, ON M2J 4Y4, Canada.

The service will be immediately followed by the interment at the York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, ON M2N 5Z5, Canada.
