LAST CHANCE TO BUY TICKETS TO THE TORONTO ARMENIAN COMMUNITY SCREENING OF AURORA’S SUNRISE

June 13, 2023 Toronto: Due to overwhelming demand and limited seating capacity, ticket sales for Friday’s screening of the award winning animated film Aurora’s Sunrise, will be closing on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at midnight. The Toronto Armenian Community Screening is hosted by the Zoryan Institute in partnership with Bars Media and with the participation of AGBU Toronto & the Armenian Catholic Church of Toronto.

All tickets to Aurora’s Sunrise need to be reserved in advance through the online ticket platform or with the Zoryan Institute. There will be no walk-in tickets available for purchase at the door. Those who have already confirmed and booked in advance will still have the opportunity to pick up their tickets at the check-in desk.

Please make sure to secure your tickets as soon as possible to not miss out on the premiere community viewing of this incredible film that empowers young women and girls to represent their communities in the face of great adversity and violence.

Aurora’s Sunrise was made possible with the academic contribution of the Zoryan Institute Armenia and is based on its oral history archives. The film is directed by Inna Sahakyan, who demonstrates her sensitivity to fuse together this historical educational and entertainment project. The film is produced by Bars Media, Gebrueder BeetzFilmproduktion & Artbox Laisvalaikio Klubas, with the financial partnership of Eurimages, the Zoryan Institute Armenia & the National Cinema Center of Armenia, and with the contributions of the Lithuanian Film Center, ZDF/ARTE, Public TV Armenia, and LRT.

Zoryan Institute, a non-profit organization, serves the cause of scholarship and public awareness relating to issues of universal human rights, genocide, and diaspora-homeland relations. This is done through the systematic continued efforts of scholars and specialists using a comparative and multidisciplinary approach and in accordance with the highest academic standards.
