February 6, 2026, TORONTO: The Zoryan Institute’s upcoming 2026 Genocide and Human Rights University Program (GHRUP), distinguished by its rigorous academic standards and its highly selective admissions process, announces that the application deadline has been extended to March 31, 2026.
Reflecting the program’s reputation as one of the most sought-after intensive academic experiences in the field of genocide and human rights studies, admission into the GHRUP is extremely competitive. With only 22 places available and a highly competitive applicant pool, reviewed by a committee of senior scholars on the basis of academic merit, early submission is strongly encouraged for consideration into the 2026 program.
After taking into account that many universities have overlapping exam periods and semester transitions at this time, the Zoryan Institute will begin the admissions review process during the first week of April. This extension represents a final opportunity for qualified candidates to apply. A limited number of competitive scholarships remain available for travel and/or tuition.
