“Practiced throughout history – in every culture and on every continent – poetry speaks to our common humanity and our shared values, transforming the simplest of poems into a powerful catalyst for dialogue and peace.” – UNESCO World Poetry Day.
Hosted by Prof. Alina Gharabegian of New Jersey City University, this event will feature three poets from diverse backgrounds sharing their work relating to themes of diaspora, identity, human rights, and genocide.
This is a free event with a “Pay What You Can” entrance fee, made as a donation to the Zoryan Institute at www.zoryaninstitute.org/donate. All proceeds will go towards enabling the Institute to continue its ever-important work in education and raising awareness in the fields of genoice, human rights, and diaspora-homeland relations during this challenging time.
