January 24, 2024: Today marks the United Nations International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development. This day is very much in line with the Institute’s mission to serve the cause of scholarship and public awareness on issues relating to human rights, mass atrocities, and genocide. As the world witnesses and experiences intensification of inequities and gross violations of human rights, rising nationalism, polarization of societies, and accentuated “us versus them” phenomenon, informed educational resources and programming are needed now more than ever.
The Institute firmly believes that education is the most powerful tool to promote understanding and tolerance, in order to create a world where human rights are respected and upheld. This year, Zoryan is excited to highlight some of our educational programs easily available online!
