01 Feb 2022

February 1, 2022: Registration for the 2022 GHRUP is now open!

This annual, intensive, graduate-level course, taught by leading experts in their fields, explores fundamental issues relating to gross violations of human rights and genocide.

The course provides training and support for younger scholars entering the field and helps to prepare the next generation of genocide specialists. The comparative and interdisciplinary nature of the GHRUP provides participants with the intellectual framework to understand the numerous, complex, and often emotional issues related to genocide. Over 400 students from 47 different countries have participated in this program, and over 70 of whom teach in the field internationally. This program is unique in treating genocide not only as a historical, political, legal, and psychological study, but also by centering it within the study of human rights, it focuses on prevention.

After the success of the 2021 online program, and due to ongoing uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 GHRUP will be held online from August 1-12, 2022.
