The 1988 PBS hit, An Armenian Journey, by award-winning documentary filmmaker Theodore Bogosian, features 70-year old Mariam Davis who returned back to Eastern Turkey for the first time since she was 10 years old. Mariam assumed the risk of violating a series of Turkish laws by joining the clandestine production in the 1980s.
Mariam Davis was the very first Armenian Genocide survivor that the Zoryan Institute had the pleasure of interviewing for its Armenian Genocide Oral History Program.
