Toronto – June 10, 2022: The Zoryan Institute, a non-profit organization that raises awareness on issues related to genocide, human rights, and diaspora-homeland relations through scholarship and educational programming, is seeking a summer intern to assist at its Toronto location with its educational programming, fundraising campaigns, and administrative functions of the office.

This position is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience in the non-profit sector, and learn from some of the leading scholars and educators in the fields of human rights, genocide, and diaspora studies.

Eligibility

Candidates should have an interest in human rights and/or diaspora studies; excellent written and oral communication skills; and a strong academic background. Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and recent high school graduates attending a university in Fall 2022, are all eligible to apply for the internship.

Interns will report to the Deputy Executive Director and are expected to work four days per week for a minimum of 32 hours per week. Internships are for a period of 8-10 weeks. Start dates and end dates can be flexible depending on school schedule.

Compensation

$17.50/hour
