It’s back! The Institute is pleased to announce that the Genocide and Human Rights Webinar Series is back for a Winter 2021 series. Each Tuesday in the month of March will feature a live webinar that focuses on a specific topic or case study in Genocide and Human Rights Studies, presented by a scholar or practitioner in the field.

This webinar series was originally created in response to COVID-19, and the disruption of the Institute’s annual Genocide and Human Rights University Program hosted at the University of Toronto. Since then, the series has gained its own traction as an accessible online resource to engage students, scholars and the general public in research and publication in the fields of Genocide and Human Rights. Sessions from the previous series can be viewed online at any time through the Zoryan Institute youtube channel, ZI e-Chronicles.

Take a look at the topics and speakers noted below. Once the sessions have ended, they will be available to watch on the Zoryan Institute e-Chronicles Youtube page.

Upcoming sessions:

Draining the Sea: Counterinsurgency as an Instrument of Genocide, featuring Cheng Xu

Stalin’s Activists: The Rank and File Perpetrators of the Holodomor, featuring Prof. Daria Mattingly
